Not really… in reality, I’m a bona fide super nerd passionate about all things automation, smart control and tech in general.

Starting my career in Melbourne, I have worked for the better part of two decades in various roles across automation including in private homes, as a commercial lighting control engineer and leading one of Australia’s largest electrical contractors smart buildings team.

Currently based in Geelong (so I can enjoy the sunny Bellarine coastal lifestyle on the weekends) I am the Product Manager and Head of Sales at Lumen Resources.

I am a specialist in DALI-2, DMX, zencontrol, Dynalite, C-Bus, KNX and Lutron (just to name a few).

I’ve created this site (along with my Instagram and LinkedIn) to document my knowledge base and all the exciting new features of the above products along with other personal technology that piques my interest.

I’m particularly passionate about energy-efficient homes and buildings along and electric vehicles and the positive environmental impact we can create with these. I’m also super curious about the recent advancement in AI and how we can harness this technology to improve not only my work life but home life too.

When I’m not decoding tech jargon you’ll find me spending time with my wife and two young sons, realising I’m getting too old for kiteboarding or getting my heart broken weekly courtesy of the Essendon Football Club.
